I am an electronic musician who, as someone recently said to me, set up Feminatronic to act as "soft PR" for female electronic artists from all genres and styles. If I can give a little helping hand then why not?

Playlist #200

Eclectic Electronic Soundscapes –
Sometimes tracks are just too long for the usual playlist I put together so I decided to put together bite sized playlists for longer tracks.
Bite sized in number of artists but not scrimping on the length and quality of the listening : )
Experiments in sound, where artists have created, in essence, music, pieces, sound and noise that try to go beyond the usual and traditional.
Take some time and immerse in the sound waves.

As with all the playlists, they are jumping off points to discoveries. They are not meant to be definitive. Just let some of the tracks play onto the next….follow up on “sounds like”….see who’s following, many artists follow other artists….
Artists are Patrizia Mattioli, Patricia Bizzotto, Takako Minekawa, Liz Helman and Nkisi

Reblog – Kate NV ~ WOW — a closer listen

Thanks to A Closer Listen for todays escape from a drab Tuesday : )

pop, electronica, synthpop

Ridiculously happy, relentlessly upbeat, WOW is a sonic sugar rush, a candy-coated confection topped with syrup and sprinkles.  Kate NV‘s energy never seems to flag, nor does her creativity ease.  Breaking with previous recordings, her voice is diced, chopped and splattered; her prior guise as singer-songwriter is almost completely obliterated.  Whenever her words are discernible, they […]
