TECHNE (Suzanne Thorpe & Bonnie Jones) have been invited by Nate Wooley, founder of the periodical Sound American, to create a graphic visualization illustrating a history of women in electronic music. The graphic will be published in the January 2017 print version of Sound American whose theme is “Networking.”

female:pressure is launching an awareness and solidarity campaign for the canton of #Rojava (located in northern Syria), where women participate on all levels of decision making and building a new society from scratch, with built-in social, racial and ethnic justice, religious freedom, ecological principles and gender equality.
With a series of music, media and sound art to listen, dance and fight to, we would like to send our love and strength to these women and spread a positive message in support of their efforts.
We are calling for participation and submission of works. The work must be related and critically deal with the topic of #Rojava; otherwise there are no restrictions. Everybody is welcome!

On the occasion of its 6th anniversary, Electronicgirls is pleased to announce Pleiadi: call for sound, a project aimed at the realization of a new release in free-dowload from January 9th.
This year we seek the generation of a collective sound piece: Pleiadum Constellatio. Participants will be asked to submit a 6 minute piece of music composed following the Instructions for the Realization by Johann Merrich.
Each piece of music can be heard individually or in a collective track format, a single body of sound made by the sum of each submitted piece.
The complete work will be presented during electronicgirls release party – 6th anniversary of the netlabel.
